Community-built scarecrows along the garden paths.
Splish Splash Doggie Bash
Dog pool party as the pools close for the season — humans are out, dogs are in. $35 covers one dog and a guardian, extra humans $10. Proceeds fund the park's dog parks.

Three hours of pumpkin painting at the florist, for families and friends of every skill level. Children under 14 come with a parent or guardian.

Georgia Peach Pug Rescue's 3rd annual Halloween fundraiser at the taproom, 12–5, outdoor vendors — pugs headline but every friendly dog is welcome. Needs a driver.

UPS Second Sunday: 100th Birthday Celebration
Free admission for the High's centennial, 12–5, with drop-in art-making, smARTbox kits and a DJ.

Carve in the Courtyard

Atlanta Streets Alive: West End to Grant Park
Open streets, 2 to 6 PM: the Southside route, Ralph David Abernathy Blvd and Georgia Ave closed to cars from West End to Grant Park. Free.
Great Pumpkin-Carving Festival
After hours at the Garden, 5 to 9 PM: amateur carvers compete, with live music, crafts, the Scarecrows in the Garden display and cocktails for 21 and over. Ticketed, $30 to $65 for adults and $10 to $28 for children.
Halloween Hikes
Non-scary night hike on the paved Wildlife Walk and River Boardwalk, with glow games, crafts and s'mores. Fri–Sat 6–10 PM, Sun 5–9 PM. $25 advance from Oct 8, $30 at the gate; the Haunted Quest add-on is 12+.
